30 Days of Gratitude: Day 10

Today’s challenge was to share a memory that I’m grateful for. There’s hardly any explanation necessary. This photo was taken 2 years ago in Long Beach, Washington. It was the first vacation I had ever gone on with a boyfriend…the only one actually. It was with the only guy I’ve ever loved. This photo came into existence only a week after I had moved into my very own first apartment. It was fall and chilly. I had the best seafood I had ever eaten while looking at the very view I’m sharing with you right now. Just a few seconds after taking this photo I knew I wanted to go back through Oregon and stay longer next time. We drove through there to get to Long Beach. This trip showed me that I don’t belong in big flashy cities. I’m not quite sure where I belong still but this trip showed me where I don’t. This trip reminded me what falling in love feels like. I had never seen the beach before until this day. Even though everything has changed since this trip, I’ll always be grateful for the experience, knowing that nothing lasts forever.
